how are forged irons created and how are manufacturers able to create them all so perfectly?

In general, CNC milling machines are used to precisely cut iron designs. Then they are hand polished to perfection.

RC I think you're thinking of Milled rather than Forged. Forging is the forming under extreme pressure, often from a blow, while red or white hot resulting in improved grain structure and higher strength. Often forged irons are then milled, especially details like grooves and logos. --Jerry, aka golfnerd (Professional Engineer, Mechanical, State of California)

Forging iron heads is a process in which the metal is pressed under tredmendous pressure into a mold. There is a lot of information on the internet about it. The tolerance in forging is very good. A CNC milling machine might come into play with face milling or cutting our a cavity.
