Hitting screen

    I am going to get fit for a 910 driver but is is way to cold and no one is fitting outside this time of year here in MA. I am thinking of getting fit by hitting into a screen. It is a electronic screen and there is a launch monitor so it is pretty good. Is this the same as getting fit outside. Has anyone done it this way?

    Yes.   A good launch monitor to give you spin rates is much more important that hitting to a fairway.  Get fit quickly so you'll have time to look for a better climate.   --Jerry

    It is a great way to get fit.  Not only do you get to quickly switch between clubs/shafts, you can get all of the data from each club.  I am still big on hitting it outside, but I have found that the launch monitor information translates to the course more often than not.

    Well, if you get fit at TPI, you get both.  They have the lauch monitor and all the shafts on the range so you get to watch the ball flight an they have all the numbers. -Jerry
