I just recently picked up a set of AP1 custom shafted with KBS Tour Stiff shafts. I have played 3 rounds and am very surprised at the amount of scratches on the clubs. After looking closer the issue I feel is the back flange of the top line is sharp and not rounded off. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a fix for this? These are great clubs and I expect normal bag chatter but this design causes more wear (on the other clubs in the bag) than I would expect.

Any help or advise would be helpful.

I also recently got a set of AP1's and love them. I purchased a set of iron covers that I mainly use for back and forth to the course. I usually remove them once I get there and I put them back on for the ride home. I typically walk when I play so I don't have to worry about the bag chatter being too much of a problem compared to the beating the clubs take in a golf cart.

I want to keep them in the best shape possible. I LOVE these clubs!!!

Same problem as yourself, have a set of AP2 which look ready for the scrap heap, my old Maxfli irons are still perfect and they are 12 years old. Must be the alloys used now, not that durable. Mike.
