909H shafts - Tip Size

    I have a 17° 909H with a Aldila VS Proto 80-S, and the shaft is not working for me. I'm looked online to see what potential shafts I could get, but the majority of hybrid shafts are a .370 tip, while the 909H head has a .355 tip. I heard somewhere that a taper tip .370 shaft would fit into the 909H head...is this true? If not, what are my options for finding a new shaft?

    I don't think that's true.  I think the hosel would need drilling for that to happen.  That's risky.

    I say try the new 910 Heads because they have the new surefit tour hosel and you can try all sorts of shafts.  The nearest Advanced Fitter should have the full array try.  I am they are very good for most people!

    You can also set up a return with Titleist Custom Clubs through a dealer and install a new (and different) shaft.
