What would the effect be on a new spin milled wedge if you were have the finish removed essentially making it Raw? I've wanted Voke to offer raw wedges for a long time. Please let me know your thoughts.

get yourself an oil can wedge and dip the head in Coke for 5minutes or less and then wipe the finish off, it will be a raw wedge
the other 2 finishes (Tour Chrome, and Black Nickel) are plated finishes and you cant remove them without proper chemicals, and then you will loose weight
the Oil Can wedges are raw wedges, the reason companies including Vokey started putting an oil can finish on raw wedges is so they wouldn't rust in the pro shops or retail stores, they were finding that a rack of raw rusted wedges sitting in a shop just didnt appeal to many people and they were hard to sell. The oil can finish protects the wedge when it is new from rusting and gives it a unique look

There are a few pictures floating around on some of the other golf websites on what the wedges look like throughout the process of turning them raw. One particular look I like is after the wedge has been blow torched....very cool look. Only issue I have with them is that the look will go away after some use, but suppose you could just do it again.
well i emailed vokey wedgeworks and they suggested CLR. I used it today on two wedges and it took about 5 minutes. they said i could use coke but that the CLR would keep the paint fill whiter than the coke. can't wait to get these babies out on the course
