    Cathi,

Love reading all of the information you have posted on these discussion boards and I have a question regarding Matrix shafts and the 910 Woods

I am wondering about the standard tipping on Matrix Ozik Shafts, if i order these 3 combos through a dealer how will the shaft be tipped?

    910D3 w/ Matrix HD6 ?

    910Fd 15* w/ Matrix HD6 ?

    910H 19* w/ Matrix Altus ?

My guess would be 0", 1", 1" respectively

    Thanks for the help

The driver would be tipped 1/2" unless requested more and the fairway would be tipped 1" and the hybrid would be tipped 1/2".

    Very interesting Cathi

I know the Matrix std tipping for a driver is 0", 1" for the 3 wood and 1" for the hybrid 18-19*

Whats the reasoning for the differences?

As we have transitioned from our past bore-thru head designs, we have modified the amount of tipping that we use based on testing and player feedback.  In the 909, we tipped all our 'custom' shafts 1" to more closely mimic the feel of a bore-thru head and to minimize the effect of the transition for our players.  For the 910, we are tipping 'custom' shafts 1/2".  We are constantly testing and working with our R & D department to provide the best combination of head and shaft.  It may be in the future you will see 'no tipping'  in our custom shafts, but it will be dependent on the performance of the shafts in our heads, feedback from our players and our R & D Department.
