I'm hoping one of the Titleist Club Concierge members can chime in on this..........

I just received my new set of AP2's that I ordered with custom KBS Tour V stiff flex shafts. All the new clubs swingweight at almost exactly D0. Is this the normal range for this combination?? Without specifying, I was expecting closer to the D2 listed.

    Thanks!

It is my understanding that the target swing weight target for AP2 is D2, however, once you specify a different shaft, grip, and length or any combinations different from stock without specifying a swing weight the build of your clubs could differ from their target. The stock steel shaft is an ascending weight shaft while your shaft is a constant weight shaft which may be a factor, but, hopefully Titleist will respond to give you more insight- following is a response from Titleist from an individual who had ordered a set 1/2" longer than standard and the swing weight seemed abnormally high- it just highlights how it is important to specify a swing weight

Hi Kurt, Joseph is right. We would not make any adjustments to swing weight unless a swing weight was specified. We don't really know who the clubs are for and can't presume swingweight. We would recommend having your fitter watch you hit them and the two of you can make the decision together as to how you want to proceed. Going from std length to 1/2" over is an adjustment in itself and changing heads is another.
We would be happy to have them brought in to make sure they are within tolerance for 1/2" over (which is D5 +/-1 with a standard grip and standard wraps). If they are, but still feel too heavy, we can take them apart and see what can be done to possibly lighten them
