    Good morning.

I have two Vokey SM 58*-12* stock wedges (w/ M-grind) in black nickel and tour chrome finish. I recently picked up the TC to replace the BN and I noticed that the sole on the TC is slightly different than the BN sole. The forward bounce surface on the BN is slightly larger than the TC and has less heel, toe, and trailing edge relief. In addition, the 58* stampings on the toe of the wedges are not located in the same place; however, the difference is marginal.

Could someone please tell me whether these slight differences are normal (manufacturing tolerances) ?

Thanks for your time and attention.

Here's my theory:  the Tour Chrome is manufactured slightly different to accommodate the extra Tour Chrome layer.  Next time I have these two in my hand, I'll check it out!
