  1. I finally got to test out the newly assembled hybrid, and it performed exactly how I was looking it to.

    818H2 17* - Tensei Pro Blue 70HYB, A1, 14g neutral

The flight was a more penetrating ball flight, and it didn't go left. That was the biggest issue that made me swap out clubs and get this one built. I tested out the 14g draw/fade weight, and the movement was more than I'd want on every shot, so sticking with the neutral weight. The hosel settings should be all I need to dial in the shot shape. I'll do more fine tuning tomorrow, as the range had a pretty consistent LR wind yesterday, and none in the forecast before tomorrow's round (TPC Harding Park).

  2. Congrats on the new stick.

Really the only 2 clubs in my bag that are in any danger of being switched out are my 915H hybrids for the current 818H1. I love my 915H, but also really like the full customization in the 818 line.

Make sure to do an update once you get it fully dialed in!

  4. Fine Tuning:
After the first two rounds with the new club, it reaffirmed my test drive on the range. The penetrating ball flight was flying right into my preferred window of where I wanted to see the ball launching. The distance on the club was slightly longer than my previous hybrid, so I'm able to play the 818 at a 17* vs. previous clubs at 16*. The ball flight just pierces through the air.

There was one particular shot in the 2nd round with the ball below my feet where the ball went just a little left, which I am trying to avoid and take out of the question. After that round, I did make my only change with the SureFit hosel, changing the hosel to B1. The result was either a straight ball, or slight fade which I'm fine with. During the 3rd round, there were no complaints, and B1 seems to be the last finishing touches on getting this club dialed in.

    Final specs: 818H2 17* - Tensei Pro Blue 70HYB, B1, 14g neutral
