My best advice is to try them at the shop.  I see a lot of people that like the ap 2's, so that is probably a safe choice.

For me personally, I would also try the CB and MB.  I am a blade lover though.  I grew up hitting them and that is what learned to hit with, so they are easier for me to hit oddly enough.

But the best advice is to try them.  At not necessarily into a net at a shop, but if they have a 6 iron at your local club take it out to the range and see how it hits.  Then the next thing is to get fitted by someone that knows what they are doing.  That is the key to maximizing what you do.  I am 5'11" and because I am an aggressive swinger, my clubs are 2 degrees upright.  That is not common for someone my height, but I hit my irons straight and long so it works.

That does make it a little bit more difficult, but it is still possible.

You may have to go to a local store and try them instead of the pro shop because they tend to carry a tun more or ask them when they have a demo day.  I know around here, they have them twice a year at a range somewhere and that helps a ton.

We have a fitter named Jim Kjellenberg over at LaCrosse CC who has a Surefit Level II cart with LH AP2's and AP1 iron heads.  He can help fit you into irons and if you need the CB's, our rep can arrange with Jim to bring over a LH head.  We are currently finished with the Demo/Fitting days in your area and will start up again in the springtime.

find the nearest demo day in your area and go hit them all. It is all about what looks and feels right to you.

  8. Whichever Titleist clubs you decide to get, you WON'T be disappointed! GET FIT!!! The AP2's are excellent irons, however, your swing might not be FIT for them. You may need a CB, possibly an MB..., maybe even AP1's. Look at it this way, there isn't a Pro out there, male or female, who hasn't been fitted for clubs. You won't regret it, you'll be amazed by the resultst and I can guarantee you that you'd play some great golf! I wish you the best.
