Only of your playing in competition golf, then you need to play the new grooves. Otherwise keep playing the wedges you currently have.  Just re-groove them and keep on play your current wedges. If you get the new wedges It's going to take a good full season to get used to play the new wedges, plus you don't have to get the new wedges till 2024.

Depends on how old they are.

If you play them a lot and practice frequently, then you have probably worn the bounce off of the bottom of them as well.  You might have bought an 12 degree bounce, but now it is an 8.  Also depends on the soil type.  If you play in a sandy soil, then that is more than likely true.

And the same thing as the other poster said, if you play tournaments that are sponsored then you probably need to upgrade.

If you are playing for yourself and love the wedge, then keep it and have the grooves cut.  It will be well worth it.

    Hope that helps.
