Good morning, I was fit for C16 irons last summer by Greg Larkin in Birmingham, AL. I also have the C16 driver, 54 degree and 58 degree Wedgeworks Vokeys, & Cameron X5 putter? They are the best irons I have ever had--even better than the 690.cb. I wore out three sets of those. I recently purchased a replacement 8 iron and wedge with the Nippon 880 shafts. The new irons do not have the back weight in the Tour Velvet grip. I would like to purchase two of the original back weights. If they are no longer available, can you tell me the weight of the 8 iron and wedge weight?

  2. Are you sure that your irons actually have a weight and not just a "Neutral" cap? Titleist has discontinued the surefit grips. The Neutral cap is just a piece of plastic with a metal disc attached. I had them on my C-16 irons and recently replaced all the grips with the new MCC align grips which I absolutly love

Hi Bryan, Bruce is correct. As is the nature of "concept" products, with the C16 irons and driver, we wanted to push the limit on technology, materials and construction to see what could be used in production models as well as how they performed in more than a single club. Although the Surefit grip was a very good concept, it did not perform as well as we had hoped and we have taken it back to the drawing board for further research. We wanted the Surefit grips to weigh the same as a Tour Velvet grip with the only change being the draw or fade weighting. If you had a neutral grip, it weighs the same as your Tour Velvet grip. I did leave a message for you so if you have further questions, please call us.

Just received my Concept irons, 4-G. The gap is marked 48 rather than W. After three range sessions and one round, they are on the trade block. The C16s have a better top line, better bounce characteristics and better feel striking the ball. The Concepts look and feel "clunky". There are two versions of the iron. They are distinctively different. If you like your C16s, hold on to them.
  5. What shafts do you have in them
  6. Hello,

I have a set of C16 irons 4-G with the surefit grip installed. I’m told I must return them to Titleist to have the grips replaced. If this is the case, does Titleist re-grip with surefit installed or just a standard grip?
