710mb loft adjustment & serial number

    Hi,

    Are there any negative implications in taking 1* of loft off the 710mb irons. I'm interested in ordering a set at 1* strong but have heard all sorts of feedback that it affects the bounce on the clubs and they dig too much on the short irons and you get excessive offset when ordering stronger lofts?

    Also, a local pro shop has a set of mb's with KBS stiff shafts at 1/2'' longer which is quite close to my specs. Do the irons carry a serial number that I could feedback to Titleist and find out what specs the clubs were built too and make sure the clubs haven't been reshafted, lie angle etc?

    Hi Dan - 

    Bending the MB head 1 degree stronger will reduce the bounce by 1 degree and probably reduce the spin rate throughout the set as well.  This may be good or bad for your game, a proper fitting can help you determine if you need the lofts adjusted.  

    The irons you are asking about should carry a serial number on each hosel in the set.  It should be a 5 character combination of letters and digits.  We would be able to tell you the original specs from the order using that serial number.
