  1. I ordered a set of AP2 irons about 2-3 weeks ago and was told there was an AP2 head delay until the begining of August. I was thinking since the iron head would not be in stock till August, it will take three or more weeks to fill all the existing orders after the fact. Could this be a really long wait, or did I just hear incorrectly?

  2. Hi Kyle -

You may have heard correctly.  There is a delay on AP2 heads being used for some over length clubs.  These heads are expected to arrive early August and once heads arrive from inspection orders will ship in a normal build time of 3-4 days.  In order to check the specific status of your order with Titleist, please contact the Titleist partner the order was placed with and have them call in and reference your order.

Hi Nick - A question about what you just said... Do the heads for the extra long clubs get adjusted in some way during constructioin so the swing weight of the longer club is still within normal bounds like D1 or D2?

I'm 6'7" tall and while I've always used clubs that were upright, they were normal length. I would love to have clubs from about the 7 iron down through the wedges that was about an inch longer without the extra swing weight that would come of simply putting a plug in the shaft and regrilling.

  4. Hi Dennis -

Yes. We will use a lite head on orders +.75" and over.  This allows us to build the AP2 to an appropriate swing-weight. The wedges are similar and when an order requires an over-length set up we will use the appropriate head to match the swing-weight request as close as possible.

Depending on what shaft is being used it will be very difficult (or impossible) to build AP2s +1" and obtain a D1-D2 swing-weight.  In order to have this type of work completed, make sure that the Titleist partner placing your order is aware of your desired swing-weight target.

  5. I only ordered my clubs +.5" over standard. So is the delay for all of the lite heads, or +.75" over?
