I have a 913 D2 driver that I want to cut down an inch to 44". What size weight can I use to restore the stock swing weight? What grip might help as well?

  2. Hi Justin,

By shortening a club 1 inch you will traditionally lower the swing weight by six points. The 14 gram weight will add three swing weight points back assuming you have the stock 9g weight in your head currently. In my opinion, your best course of action beyond adding weight to the head would be finding a light grip. For every 5 grams of grip weight you subtract you add one swing point. Our stock driver grip with a .580 core weighs 52 grams.

Another option would be to add hot melt to the head.
