I recently upgraded to new 716 AP1's with KBS Tour shafts. Looking to move to new SM6's soon. Have always used the stock shaft. Anyone have experience using KBS Tours, or other KBS wedges shafts on their Vokey's? Thoughts? I tend to have a naturally high ball flight, so something that I can flight down would be good.

I have the 714 AP2's with KBS Stiff+ C-Tapers and switched the shafts on my 50, 54 and 60 degree SM5's to the same and love them. The stock wedge shafts were way to soft and i had issues with over spinning them.

Shaft your wedges with the same shaft - the difference in gram weight (10g assuming KBS 120 Tour verses Wedgeflex) will make a difference.

I Cary 54* and 58* sm5's. I put KBS shafts that mach my irons in the 54 because I hit a lot of full shots and wanted the same feel. Left the stock in the 58. Works great for me.
  5. Chad, If you consider all the pros using KBS shafts in their irons as well as Vokey wedges that should answer your question! I would not hesitate to use the same shaft model as long as it is the same weight or heavier...

    Good luck!

I have KBS shafts in my Vokey SM 4 52 and 56 degree wedges. I find they have way better feel and feedback, compared to stock. C tapers might be a good option if you're a high ball hitter. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

    Best of luck

I upgraded my TVD wedge shafts to match my 714 AP2's. I play KBS C-Taper stiff in my irons and stiff+ in my wedges. Best move I ever made.
