I currently use the AP2s thats exactly how i felt when i felt them determining wether to get some new irons but hey i still love em just shot 6 under 2 days ago with em so sould work out great for you!

Keep telling your significant other how much you love them or their going to feel like they come in second to your new AP2's. :-)

i know this is an old post but i just got a set of ap2s and have played 2 rounds with them and love them. the workability of the ball with them is awesome today i was 160yrds out on a par 4 pulled my 8 and put it with in an inch. so much control with them and miss hits are not bad at all with these just want to thank Titleist for another great set of clubs.

my  ap2's are on the way   still at the factory   patience young skywalker!

Im in the same boat just waiting for my AP2's to arive. 

had the ap2s for a few months now. i believe they are the best feeling irons ive ever used. dont even notice the v groves.

I love my AP2 710's with  KBS Tour shafts. 

No problems with spinning the ball and my distance is the same or maybe a little better than my old 690mb's.

Anyone know how the new  710 AP2's compare to the old ones?

The 710 AP2 was an improvement in feel and feedback as well as performance and playability in the shorter irons from the first generation AP2.  The enhancements from the original AP2 include a redesigned elastomer cavity and a reduced bounce angle (of 1 degree) on the 7,8,9,PW and GW.  You should notice a softer more responsive feel with the 710 version.

Hi Nick, Thanks for the feedback. I'm going for a custom fitting in the UK in a couple of weeks time and will be trying them out as well as a CB/MB combo.

Custom fitting is definitely the way to go. I have 2 rounds with my new AP2s after a tour fitting in Oceanside and I'm striking the ball better then ever. I find the ball comes off the face very silky with a blade-like feel. I went with the DG SL S300  shafts and am getting a great trajectory. I had no prior experience with this shaft, but am really impressed with the results.  If you approach your fitting with an open mind, I think you will be very happy with the results.
