I purchased my Titleist 915D3 and 915F from Golfsmith. At the time I purchased, the salesman said there were no other shaft options other than the Diamana series that were in the store, and I purchased these clubs at the end of 2015.

Last Thursday, I went to a Titleist fitting event and the fitting rep had me hit the same clubs w/ Aldila Rogue Black shafts. HUGE difference.

He suggest I call Golfsmith and see if they are willing to do anything, and they are not. Is there any option that Titleist will work with me to swap out my shaft so I can get the correct shaft for my swing and my game? I don't want to have to purchase a new club just to get the shaft.

I'm not sure if Titleist would do a swap. If they won't, you can order the shaft(s) through your home course or Golfsmith, you don't need to purchase a new club.
  3. Golf smith is nice but the guys there move on commission. He just wanted to make the sale to line his own pocket. Titleist might do something but you might have to buy the shaft aftermarket which hopefully that isn't the case
  4. I have had similar experience. Got fitted for Regular shafts in Diamana Blue for my driver, 3 wood and hybrid and since I was fitted at two other locations saying I should play the shafts in Stiff. Have not used the clubs and now trying to work out if I can swap them but it seems Titleist in my region is not really that customer service minded. Yet! Still waiting for a reply....

Nope. You can order new shafts through a Titleist dealer, but they won't swap shafts out.

Every chance I get, I encourage anyone buying current model clubs, even if not Titleist, to get fit outdoors. Retailers have every incentive to sell off the rack and you don't have the same experience as on turf. This is from personal experience as well. Magically, a 9.5/S+ Stiff was the right driver - and it was in stock! I have ended up with a 10.5 with a 569 Speeder R flex shaft. I chalk the experience up to not doing my homework. Titleist has to deal with major retailers, but can't be responsible for the retailer's employees This website encourages us to learn how to find the right Titleist for each of us. Can't say that for the OEMs that launch almost with each season.
