  1. Currently have AP1 712 with Project x 5.5 stiff shafts. Want to move into AP1 716 but looking for slightly lighter shaft. Would I be best into your stock XP90 shaft at 105 or into Graphite at 85. Any thoughts?

I bought a 716 AP1 set with the XP95 shafts then, had a fitting where the results said I need the S300 AMT shafts. Fortunately, I was able to sell the first set and ordered the S300 AMT set. The results have been outstanding. I'm carrying the ball further with more control. One thought - at the fitting, we found the lighter clubs may offer more speed, but may cause you to release the club too early whereas the heavier shafted clubs actually create more "lag". It seems to be true.

I actually really like the xp95, I found it not too light and not too heavy. I have played 75g graphite in the past and have played 120g steel as well, I feel the xp95 allow me to control the club head more and shape my shots. I encourage you to get fitted but the AP1's are a top notch choice.

Freddy: Just ordered my AP1 xp105 s300 +1/2, 2* flat and cannot wait for them to get here. Am currently playing AP2 xp95 s300 +1/2, 1* up. Was hitting everything left with the forged and with the AP1s longer and straighter. Do like the little bit of extra weight. The feel of the AP1s, SWEET.
