    Hey everyone,

This is only my second summer of golfing. I played once or twice a summer with my dad and his clubs, but last summer he surprised me with a new driver and irons. I had a cobra driver, but the head snapped right off when I hit a drive. My irons have been pretty good, but they are Cleveland's and I have never really heard of them before. My question is that for my birthday I got a gift card for a hybrid or a fairway wood. I usually hit somewhere in the 90's depending on if my driver goes straight. I usually hit my drives between 270 and 300 so most of the time I don't need a wood or hybrid, but when I do what do you guys think would be best?

Dear god kid...Hitting the ball 270-300??? Well looks like you don't have issues with swing speed, so I would recommend a 5 wood or a 19-20 degree hybrid...Get CUSTOM FITTING because with swing speeds like yours I think you will bloop a hybrid into the stratosphere, I mean hitting a ball high is coveted but there is something as too high. The right shaft/club head combination is key to achieve the ball flight that you want. If you don't like fairway woods then I would suggest the hybrid.

Well my problem is that I used to drive with my dad's 3 wood before I got my driver, but it was so old it is actually made out of wood... So I don't really know if I like the fairway wood or a hybrid better.
