  1. My buddy, that I converted over from a png player by the way, just purchased some new 915's. The top 3-4 inches on the grip of the drive spins from the rest. I am guessing it just was not taped well or bad tape, but since he bought online he asked me if it was under warranty or anything. I told him just to go spend $15 for a new grip and I'll put it on, but here's the post. Mike, anything I can do for him? Thanks!

    $15!?!?!?

That must be some kind of fancy grip!

Unfortunately if he didnt get it from an authorized retailer then its not likely covered. Worse case scenario is that the shaft is actually broken underneath, possibly from shipping. I had a drunk friend hit a ball with the butt rather than the head and it twisted the same.

If you cant get resolution from the original seller, I would cut it open and see whats the matter since it seems unplayable anyway.

    Best of luck,

    Curtis,
Has your friend tried to contact the retailer about the issue? But again, I know that is a bit annoying that you get a club and there is something wrong with it. I'm sure Titleist would take care of it, if it was purchased through and authorized retailer, but it's such a small thing to worry about, it would most likely be faster for him to just take his club to be regripped.

As Spudstarch mentioned, it could be a broken shaft underneath the grip, hopefully it isn't, but then you can see what the issue might be. I don't think I have ever heard of the top of a grip spinning from the rest of the grip.

Depending on the grip they want, they can get out of the golf store with it installed for most likely under $15, even more towards the $5-6 mark. Then he could use the club(s) within a few hours after the new grips sets.

Let us know what he does and what the issue might be.

    Sam
