  1. I am currently playing with cally's Razr XL irons and as most golfers do, start looking at other equipment. I am interested in the AP1 irons but my friends say I would not see much improvement going from a cast iron to a cast iron. I am 55 years old and have been playing for about 5 years now. I recently shot my first 41 in 9 holes. I like the extra forgiveness in the cast irons but am curious if you think I would feel or see any difference in investing in the AP1 irons?

I beg to differ with your friends, they might be winning too much money from you. Just kidding of course.

Before buying my 714 AP1s. I joined a discussion about Titleist equipment. I also demo'd many brands TM, Ni, Cal, Miz, and lots of others. TT members all told me,
get fitted first by a certified Titleist fitter.

When using Titleist, there is a solid feeling about using the club. I had a discussion over the fence with my neighbor this past weekend and he too loves Titleist. He's a solid single digit and plays AP2s, and ProV1s.

I'm 61 and will turn 62 in a couple of months and believe solidly on the Titleist clubs I use. Go to a Demo day and get fitted.

    Good Luck

You might is the best answer I can give you based on your post. If you are really serious about getting an answer, then I suggest you find a qualified Titleist fitter in your area and set up a session to work with him/her to get the answer.
