I currently hit a Titleist 913D2 driver and love it. I need a new 3 Wood and since I love my Titleist 913D2 so much I want to get a Titleist 3 Wood as well. Which Titleist 3 Wood is more forgiving, the F or Fd?

As an owner of both (I have 913 13.5 FD, 915 15 F and FD) - I can tell you the F is by far the easier club to get the best performance from for most reasonable players unless you generate very high spin rates at high club head speeds. The 915 head shape also seems to be reversed in this range vs the 913 (i.e. the F is wider and shallower ) - I find it gives much more confidence behind the ball. I also noticed that the 915 is much hotter off the face than the 913 meaning I have been able to play a 15 degrees loft vs my previous 13.5 loft. This further adds forgiveness. Hope it helps....

Hey there Luke, I also have the 913D2 driver with AP1 714 irons and really love them both. I went from a png G25 Fairway wood to a 915F and find it is just as forgiving. To answer your question the F is more forgiving than the Fd. I also have Vokey SM5's and love them. My next purchase will be the 915 hybrids 19 and 24*.

Yea Chuck what I meant was I want the 3 and 4 915h. I hit them at golf galaxy with the reg flex 60 shaft in it, really liked it. Will replace my png g20 3 and 4 hybrids with them, honestly I can't say anything bad about the png they have served me well. I am switching over to all Titleist, love it!

The F is easier to hit. But, you should try both. Also experiment with different lofts. A higher loft in 3 wood can result in a higher and longer ball fiight. I know it sounds crazy, but it is true.

I have the 915 F and it's performing great for me. I replaced a png fairway wood and I'm way more consistent with the 915. I think the Fd is supposed to be lower spinning, but I'd suggest hitting both of them on a launch monitor and let the numbers guide you.
