RspanditCheshire,
hi
does any one know if the x5 futura prototype putters are going to be coming to retail as i want one real bad ?
Adam FArlington, VA
The prototype/Tour Only version has been sold through the Gallery's website and the Museum and Gallery's page. I'm taking it as very favorable signs.
And it sure rolled smoothly when I was at the Gallery a few weeks ago. I'll be interested to see it when it comes to retail production.

It will be in stores on October 31st. The X5 will come RH/LH with the same lengths and weights as the Scotty Cameron Select line.

Will the Futura X5R also be released at the same time (and in the UK)?
Thanks

What is different between the x5 and x5r and can they be ordered with weights like 25g or 30g ? And when can golf courses with titleist accounts call and order one plz and thanks

Hi Vincent,
The X5 has a more angled back design while the X5R has a more rounded back design. The weights that come standard in each putter depends on the length. The standard weights for each length are as follows..
35"-10 gram weights
34"- 15 gram weights
33"-20 gram weights
"Heavy versions" will be offered in the 34" and 35" lengths
Heavy 35" - 15 gram weights
Heavy 34"- 20 gram weights
To get weights heavier than 20 grams you would need to send your putter to the Scotty Cameron custom shop or purchase a weight kit on Scotty's store. http://www.scottycameron.com/store/cameron-creations.aspx
Orders can be placed now but they will not be in stores until Oct 31st.
Thanks!
Will

Awesome, thanks for the info. Is one more face balanced than the other? Or are the only differences between the two are the shapes of the back design?
The only difference is the shape of the design. They both have the same amount of toe flow.

Will, thanks for the info - I am pre ordering a couple of them.
Which is the total head weight of 34" regular version (with 15 g. weight screws)? In the Dual Balance model are you offering a 35" length one and if yes which is its head weight?
Thanks again!

The head for 34" putter with 15 gram weights will weigh 360 grams. The Dual Balance putter will be standard at 38" and custom lengths will be available between 36"-40" at 1/2" increments. The Dual Balance head is 400 grams and you would have to send it through the ScottyCameron custom shop for heavier weights than that.

Great news, any idea if it will be available in Dual Balance. I'm really starting to like the feel and balance of my Newport 2 DB and now I've already got my eyes on the X5. I need help with this putter obsession.
Thanks, Greg

What is the different between the X5 and X5R other than one has more rounded edges? Any performance difference?
