    Hey guys,

i recently got one of those things they call a fairway wood(12.5degloft), however it's more like a driver that's got identity issues. It goes as far as my current driver but way more consistently. Right now the driver is collecting dust in the garage since I'm not in the practice of making my bag heavier for the extra exercise.

So my question is this- Does anyone have experience with the new drivers they have came out with in the past year? And if so will it be a worthwhile purchase that will go further than my new wood? I would also like some insight on what models and whether or not I should wait until next year to purchase one (that will carry 15 yards further and find more fairways and lower my score and blah blah blah lol).

Thanks in advance for any insight gentlemen.

    Brian

Brian:  What you appear to have my friend is a 2 wood, as they used to call it........current Titleist 913D2 460cc head has the capability of lofts ranging from 7.5 to 12 degrees.......the new Titleist drivers are being tested by the pros and should be out soon to the public....I hope that you will give the new 915D a try, because it is supposed to be one of the hottest drivers coming out this year based on what I heard today from reliable sources.  Many of us loyalist are anxiously waiting on the demo days when we can try the new drivers and there will be many shaft options this year........November is not that far away and I believe you will be happy with the results.....find out when they will be do a fitting in your area and check out the new 915D.......Titleist fairway woods start at 13.5 degrees, which is a strong three wood......fairway woods have a thinner face and create more pop off the face, if that 12.5 was a true fairway club.....so it is possible it could catch up to your driver, depending on the brand.......
