962 black irons full set (3-LW)--well cared for Heads. Look great. Strike very solidly (very fond of them.) The rifle shafts w/sencecore were an issue so I changed to TT GS85 r300... they hit real well except a small distance reduction and lower trajectory. So my dilemma is: do I buy new Clubs entirely with fitting or Do I do shaft fitting only on the 962? I have heard here at the board opinions in regards to 714's which said 962 was much like MB's or CB's.. some even recommend AP2's and even AP1's Sort of confusing. I would really like some feed back to this.... kind of interested in seeing what the good people of Teem Titleist have to say. Like everyone, I want in my irons: more distance, more spin, more height. more finess, Make me taller and get along better with my wife. There is some things about "Peace in our time" but I don't think a new iron setup will help those things... smile Anyone's experience or opinion about these options for me would be greatly appreciated Thanks DT

The standard 962 irons (not the B version) have a top line close to an AP2, offset in between an AP2 and MB, but a sole width wider than AP2.  We would suggest seeing a fitter, who can help you select a head that fits your eye and preferred ball flight.  Kirk Rider is over at Bear Creek in Denver and his number is:  303-980-8700.  Let us know how it goes and what you finally select!

Cathi, Thanks! I will try to give him a shout as soon as the weather clears a little more...Still trying to be winter here..:-) On a side note, the 714 AP1's you and I worked on in November are just outstanding!!! (the 962's are my backup set.. Never could bear to let them go) I have managed to get a few rounds in with the 714s and so far the results are a big improvement. The XP95 shaft was the fit. The clubs feel and strike wonderfully! I see my 13.7 handicap going back down again.. I'm excited! Again... Thanks for your help... Don T
