  1. Most of the internet retalers are advertising Titleist Products as New, Direct from the factory, first quality.  I received a set of AP1 712 Friday and Titleist Logo on the grips were upside down.   The person stated that Titleist send the clubs like that.  He stated that 99% of Titleist iron the grip logo's are upside down.  Every golf club that I see at local retailers the Grip logo's are correctly place on the irons.   I did some research myself on this, and most of the photos the labels are upside down.  Are these clubs consider human error and distributed for sale as it and the retailer are not correctly disclosing the issued with the club, instead trying to sell it as new.

Great question.  I can't remember the last time I saw a set with the grip logo where you could see it at address.  i just received my new AP2 714's and the grip logo is down as well as the KBS shaft band.

I do not believe that the "turn down" grips area defect. Every set of clubs that I have seen from Titleist in the last 5 years has had the grips installed this way. In fact most players prefer to have the grips installed like that.

  4. I demo the new 714's , AP1/AP2/CB/MB October 18 and all the clubs have the correct label on the club s.  Every retailer that I went to have irons on display with the correct placement of the logo.  I visitied Golfsmith, Clear Creak Golf Club, Edwin Watts and other retailers looking for the best price opportunity to purchase a set and all have irons displayed with the correct logo placement.  Your statement sound like you are in the defense of Titleist.

    Hi Efrain,

We install our Titlest grips logo down and all other grips are installed "logo up", unless requested otherwise.

Please note that we don't have "internet only" authorized retailers.  Authorized retailers that have an internet presence should have a "brick and mortar" store.
