  1. Just trying to figure out if I can purchase a new shaft of my liking and transfer the mechanism from the old driver shaft to the new one without an issue. Someone previously had stated that it was not recommended, but can it be done?

I bought a new shaft, and just want to know if I can take it to my local pro shop and have the shaft installed on my 910D3 without having to purchase anything else.

    Thanks

    Rob

Hi Rob,  If you are looking at purchasing a new shaft, ask your local pro for pricing directly from us.  Any shaft purchased from us will come with the Surefit adapator already attached and an additional surefit bezel weight if requested.  We don't have an MSRP for shaft orders, so you may want to check with several shops to get a comparison price.

As far as transferring tips, we have heard of shops doing that, but it does void any warranty.

    Rob,

You don't need to do anything else. Transferring tips is easier than reshafting the older heads. Someone who is fairly competent doing club repair should be able to take care of the work. I've done many of them and never had a single issue. When first extracting a factory shaft from the adapter, I usually can twist the original ferrule up the shaft so it can be reused. Makes for an easier finishing job on the new shaft and a Titleist factory look.
