So, I decided to go with another SM4 and ordered a 56.08* SW. I wanted a TVD, but I really like the full sole on my 46* and 52*. I also got it in the oil can finish, which I love. Not because it rusts, but because I can strip the finish raw. It looks awesome. One question though. I do feel that my oil can gap wedge is softer than my PW and LW, which are chrome. But it seems that the milled surface roughness (not the grooves, the very fine circular milled grooves) is wearing away. Is this common? I've had it for almost a year. I still get great bite, but I am just curious as to whether anyone else has experienced the surface roughness of their wedges to wear?

I have 3 Vokey SM4's, a 50°, 55°, and a 60° and I have started noticing the surface roughfness wearing away too. I believe the surface roughness is there to make sure the club face is perfectly flat because they are cast. Hope this helps!

    Connor,
