Thinking about upgrading to the AP2 from my current cast GI irons, not a huge fan of hybrids (no problem getting them up, but not as accurate as I would like to be), any recomendations on integrating the 712 U into the set?

    Thinking about whether to go with 712 U #2 18* and the standard 3-PW AP2 or 712 U #3 21* and 4-PW AP2...

Looking for info on whether the 712U is purely a "driving iron" or a true long iron/hybrid replacement option.

    Thanks!

  2. You can hit the 712U's from anywhere. I'm loving them off the tee and the fairway.

    Thanks!

I actually just got the 735 CM's in chrome for $225 (hard to find in good condition for a lefty).  Couldn't pass on the opportunity to get my hands on a Titleist blended set.

I'll also be playing a 3 iron for the first time so now I need to make a decision on whether to pick up a 5 wood or go with my 18* or 21* hybrid.

    Decisions, decisions...

I LOVE my AP2'S!!  I cannot say enough about the feel and overall look at address. I JUST got my 712u today and am totally pumped to swing it. I'm an 11 handicap who plays with the "dream set" of golf clubs ... I'm 6'3 and 225 lbs--athlete; swing speed is approximately 92 with irons and 105 with woods. My clubs have been extended to 1.5" and added 2 degree upright ..... I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful these clubs are and how well they hit. Pure hits are solid and mishits are forgiving.

    • UTILITY/DRIVING IRON: 712u 18* (new)

QUESTION TO 712u OWNERS ... how are you hitting it? What is your "skill level" as it relates to you swinging long irons? I've read a lot of great praise, but is the praise coming from low handicappers and or "naturals" with the longer irons?  Did you purchase the 712u with the idea of using it as a "rescue" or "driving iron"?
Thanks in advance for your comments & Semper Fi,
