Broken Aldila RIP Shaft

    Fellow TT members,

    I was recently doing some driver work with a swing coach of mine and while hitting 1/4 shots with the driver, my Aldila RIP Stiff shaft snapped at about 2 inches above the hosel. My coach said he had never seen anything like this happen before. I was wondering if maybe this happened to anyone else with the same shaft option in their 910 D2 or D3? And if so, what are my options regarding the matter? I had a shop put on an Aldila NV Stiff shaft for the time being, but was still curious as to why this may have occurred. I understand if maybe putting the new shaft in the club may void any warranty on the club, I am just trying to see what the potential cause could be. Thanks for all input anyone has regarding this.

    Hi Justin,  Anytime a shaft breaks like that, please have your pro contact us right away and set up a Warranty inspection/repair.  The 910 head and shaft are under Warranty and any manufacturing defect will be covered.  Since you have had it reshafted, technically, the Warranty has been voided, but have your shop call the Warranty department to see what your options on reshafting would be.  They would need to see both pieces of the shaft.  If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-888-TITLEIST.
