Any word on this new shaft. Obviously Rory's getting great results and numbers with it. Will it be an option in Nov?

Well I personally think that Rory is struggling a bit with his new Driver. He doesn't hit as many fairways as he did with his 910 D2. His accuracy in some rounds over the last few weeks has been awry with both his Driver and his new 913 fairways. With his old 906 fairways, they were his banker clubs but his 913 fairways have been missing fairways with increasing regularity. Obviously he still has so much game, that he can still compete, but some rounds he has played over the last few weeks, he has been appalling off the tee. I know he prefers the look of the D2 Driver over the D3, but can't hit the new 913 D2 because it is more Draw biased, but I am surprised that the fitters for him, don't suggest going back to the D2 shape that he prefers, lowering the loft, which opens the clubface a little, then just put some hotmelt in the toe of the D2 for him to counteract the draw bias. And just go back to his old 7VO5 shaft. He has tried the Fujikura Motore Tour Spec at the Irish Open, and that didn't work too good, now he has gone to this Diamana 'Prototype', which quite frankly isn't much better. You can see it on his face on the tee box, he has no confidence with his woods at the moment, and I think he's getting frustrated. Some days are better than others, but he is definately struggling a little with them. I am sure though, that that the guys in the Tour van will work with him to get it right, but at the moment, its just not quite right, not as consistent as his 910 D2 and 906 fairways.
Jason,
You make some good points but I don't see it reflected in the published stats. Rory's driving all year wasn't special. He finished 151st on fairways hit at 56.61% accuracy. Since he has switched he's won a major and two play off events. In the BMW his driving accuracy was 73.21%. Some of the other events in which he participated where super tough on the long drivers i.e. Atlanta.
I'm sure the Titliest team will sort out any kinks in the settings, but I read on this website that all his stats (on the monitor) in the fitting with the new setup significantly where better than the D2.
Let's see how he does this week at Medinah. It's setup for long drivers with little rough.

Considering its a PROTOTYPE shaft by Mitsubishi Rayon for McIlroy I would say no.
