My irons from last year were made 2 deg upright. Since then, I have altered my swing based on a recent fitting I find I need to add a deg upright for a total of 3 deg upright.  I added the additional deg to one club (7i) to try it out and I like it.  So, my question is: what effect will adding a deg upright have if I do this to all my clubs?  Does it affect loft for example? What should I be careful of?  Can I do this all clubs, 5i-GW?  Thanks.

Should produce same results.  Won't affect loft.

If you are too upright, you would have to choke down to hit properly.

You should still hit every single club on the lie board - I found that my 7 iron is standard lie (63*), my 8 iron is 1/2* upright and the 9 and wedges are 1* upright for best performance.   I had 1/2* spacing between irons and had a hard time hitting the 7 iron.  8 was OK but hit slightly left.   9 and wedges were right on.   Now that I have the spacing 1* apart, I hit the 7 very clean, slight performance improvement on 8 iron.  Left 9-LW alone.   You may find your 5 iron should remain at 2*, possibly the 6 iron at 2.5*

    Timothy,

Done properly, you should be able to just adjust the lie.  I would recommend doing the whole set 3* upright and double checking the lofts once completed.
