Titleist prototype driving iron

    I saw in last weeks equipment changes blog from the british open that some players put a new prototype driving iron into the bag. This got me exited because i was panning on getting 1 or 2 of the new ones from another manufacturer when they come out but i much prefer Titleist. When will we get some more info or pics on these and will they be coming to the retail market? I am really interested!!!

    Hi Owen,

    We don't have any additional information on the prototype iron at this point. If we hear anything from the club team, we'll be sure to share it with Team Titleist. In the meantime, you can always take a look the current line-up of the 910 hybrids that range in lofts from 17* to 27*. With the SureFit Tour hosel, you should be able to get dialed in to the optimal launch conditions and ball flight that you are looking to achieve.

    I tried a so-called "driving iron" that I picked up from the PX back in the '90s and had the absolute worst time trying to hit it.  I fared much better with a 5 wood.

    The "driving iron" that has found it's way into a couple of bags is actually an older model 503 hybrid iron that was one of our original hybrid models.  We had a couple left and some of the guys tried it and put it into play.  Rory replaced it with a 910f 17° last weekend at the PGA.
