  1. Hi, I am I a 16 handicap and I am torn between AP2`s or CB`s. i understand that AP2`s are more forgiving but i already hit the ball very high. My club speed is very fast and I am an aggressive ball striker. I am wondering if bending the AP2`s down a degree or two would help keep the flight down or would CB`s be a better choice?

Working backwards - which part of your game is keeps you from a 6 handicap?  If directional control/off center with your mid/long irons contribute, then the AP2, maybe even AP1 would help your game most.  If the problem is your short game, then you may enjoy the CB.  Your fitter on an outdoor range off of turf will help you.  Shafts and loft adjustments will both contribute to adjusting your launch as much or more than the head selection.  16 is a harder to comment on - 23 needs al the help they can get and a 3 handicap can use whichever feels right.

  3. Hi Don, Thanks for the reply. My biggest problem is shot control. I hit the ball very long but just not too accurate. i am thinking that AP2`s will suit me fine for some time. If I grow out of them I can always upgrade down the road.

I'm a 7 handicap and I just switched from 710 CB/MB combo set to 712 AP2.  Couldn't be happier!  AP2's are so good I'm even playing the 3 iron in my set.  They're just so much easier to hit and I can get away with a lot more mis-hits with the AP2 than the CB's for sure.  I can still flight the ball high or low and to me the the turf interaction with the AP2's are fantastic.  They look and sound great.  I'd definitely recommend them to anybody.

  5. Thanks for the feedback. I think that i am going to to order the AP2`s next week.

The CB's are a much smaller face and club head. The AP2's are designed to hit mis hits farther and straighter. If you can hit the ball the same way most of the time and have it be square then I would recommend the CB's. Also, you must take the bounce into consideration. The bounce is much bigger on an AP2 then a CB. The bounce is what makes them more forgiving. When it comes to bending a club be careful because it is harder to give it bend them back to their original position. Hope this helps!!
