Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 or 2012 Select Newport 2

    I'm wondering which one i should get im leaning more towards the studio select due to the price but i like the black finish on the select model.  Does it really matter which one i get?

    Personally I prefer the studio select because of the overall style. I have both putters and I play the studio select one. I also like the red grip compared to the black grip. If you do consider buying look into the weight difference because you might find that you like one better.

    The milling and grip are very different too.  The grip is easy to change, but deep milling in the 2012 will feel way different than the older SSL model.  Roll them both and see what you like.  Most decent shops will still have some older SSLs on the shelves.
