  1. I recently made the switch from the 710 AP1's to the 712 AP2's.  I have about five (5) rounds under my belt with the new sticks and my distances seem to be a club shorter with the AP2's.  I know the lofts are different on these but I thought I would be able to stay pretty consistent after the switch.  My 8 iron was around 155 with AP1's.  My 8 iron is now around 145 with the AP2's.  Bad fit?  Any suggestions?

  2. I've been going through the same thing. On the advice of some people at Tittleist, I got the loft/lie checked. They were 2 deg flat and the lofts were 1 deg weak. Also, the spec lofts for the AP2s are weaker than most clubs. Coming from my old irons, the Ap2s were 1-2 degrees weaker on every club. 1 deg of loft translates to about 4 yards so even at the spec lofts, they'd be 8 yards shorter than my old clubs.

I don't know how the specs of the AP1 relate to AP2, but you can always have them adjusted to give you a stronger loft.

Mine one is 710MB with KBS tour S, standard loft one & carry over of 8 iron is 150 yards. Therefore, I guess that the shaft hardness of your club maybe too soft or is a high trajectory one - therefore, some distance lost.

I can tell you I lost 7-10 yards switching from AP2 710's to AP2 712's - unless, I absolutely hit the 712's on the screws. I returned the 712's for a refund and went back to my 710's.
