I have been given a set of AP1(2008) from a family friend to try out. Apparently though the shaft in the PW was broken at one point and the original owner had a local show repair it. Apparently he gotten taken a bit as the shaft that was put in is the same Dynamic Gold HL shaft as original but its a R300 were as the remaining clubs are the S300. So I can source the shaft my self for around $20 and I am familiar with the process of re shafting irons but I am very foggy on swing weight manipulation. I would like to think that as this is the stock shaft and I will returning it to is stock build I would be able to just prep the shaft, mix the epoxy, set the shaft and go. However I am wondering if its truly this easy or will some swing weight manipulation take place. When Titleist built this stock set up Would they have adjusted the swing weight of the irons with tip weights, butt weighting, or etc? I would like to do this my self as one im big on DYI and two i would like to save the 15-20 on top of the shaft cost.
