Last summer I bought a new set of CB irons 5-pw and I noticed the pain is coming out of the numbers on the bottom of the irons. Is there anything I can put on them to stop this from happening? Or should I just live with it, its going to happen, nothing you can do about it?

Hi Ben,  If you purchased them new from an authorized pro shop, please take them back to your pro shop and have them set up a Warranty inspection and repair.  The numbers should not be wearing off that quickly under normal usage.

Ben, Go to a golf shop and have them repaint the bottom of the clubs for the numbers. Or get you a small can of acetone, a small can of black paint and paint the numbers yourself. The acetone is to remove the excess paint. Just use a brush and cover the numbers (don't try to paint inside the numbers) just cover the numbers and then use the acetone on a paper towel to remove the excess paint. Just wet the paper towel and swipe it across the bottom of the club. It should leave the numbers filled in and remove the excess paint. You can use any color you want on the numbers and change it as often as you want to. Hope this was helpful to you.

Be it the middle of the season not sure I want to start sending clubs off and then be missing some. I may try the do it yourself route. Is there a particular paint that works better than other? Just so I'm clear, fill the whole number indent with paint? Thanks very helpfull post.

Nail polish mate - cheap and easy.  Just do as above re cleaning excess off with acetone (nail polish remover) & Roberts your mothers brother.
