I'm not happy with my Fd 3 wood , adjusted to 15' loft ( same as my 910 fairway ) .

I just can't get enough hight out of this club , i thought with the larger head it would

be an asset in my bag ..... Any ideas ?

Not happy in what way? Are you mishitting it? Are you not getting the distance you want? Are you not controlling it? Inquiring minds want to know and then maybe someone can suggest something.

Personally, and I've never understood why, I seem to mishit my 3 wood more frequently than any other club in my bag.  It currently resides in the closet and I stuck a 17 degree hybrid in my bag as a replacement. I lose about 10 yards, but the consistency I gain more than makes up for it.

Hi Dennis , i agree with you , i use a 19' 910 rescue off the fairways , more consistent ,200yrds . So i guess i'll keep the Fd for use off the Tee , when a driver is too risky ..

3 Woods have always caused me problems , so sacrificing distance for accuracy makes sense .

I play the 910 FD with the Diamana Kai'li shaft. The larger head promotes lower flight, not higher. It is very good at keeping spin down for extra distance. Off the tee, I can hit it almost as far as my driver. If you want to hit it higher, you need the 910F (which I don't hit well and can't comment on, I've never liked a shallow face 3 wood in any brand). Just this week I did a bit of a test that totally suprised me. I ran into some Kai'li pullout shafts on ebay cheap and bought a 3 wood shaft and put it in my old 909F3. I loved the head shape on the old 909F3 and the club was sitting unused with an A flex shaft in it since my son switched to 909F2. He likes the shallow face. So I made up the two identical fairway woods witht the identical shafts and took them to the club. The 909F3 15 deg goes MUCH higher but is a little spinny (you can see the ball climbing from spin above the natural trajectory of the flight) and thus costs me a bit of distance. The 910Fd 13.5 adjusted to 15 deg with surefit hits it much lower and more penetrating and longer, espeically off the tee. I stopped on the par 5 8th and hit 10 balls with each club from 270 (slightly downhill). I hit the green 3 times with teh 910 and hit several more pin high. With the 909 I made a nice group right in front of the green 20 yds short. On the next tee I hit the 909 perfect down the middle. I then hit the 910 down the right center with a boring draw and knew it was gonna be longer. Walked down to the fairway and they were 50 yds apart as the 910 Fd went almost 300 yds into the wind (Im a 55 yr old man with 108mph driver swingspeed, not some kid who kills the ball). The lower boring trajectory just goes forever. And BTW...take that RBZ. --Jerry

Thanks Jerry , for you input . I guess i should keep the Fd for use off the tee as i hit hit well off the tee, for those times a driver is just too much and concerns about accuracy .

I must say i prefer 910 19' rescue off the fairway anyway , not so far but always solid and in the right direction .

My experience has been that this club head launchers lower than the F model.
