I recently purchased a Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 and have considered sending it into Scotty's Custom Shop. Looking through the website, I noticed there is a turnaround of 20 days. For anyone with experience, is this accurate? Or are putters normally returned under the typical time span?

Also, I am assuming the work done by the custom shop is great, but I would like to hear from some of you on your experiences.

    Thanks in advance.

I had some work done on a brand new putter last year, at the time the site said 20 days, and i got mine back in 17, and I'm in San Diego about 30 miles from the facility.

The work is good, only issue i had was a bit of black paint on the sole from the custom bumper stamping paint fill. It was on the sole so i knew it would eventually wear off which it did, but it wasn't perfect.

I forgot to add that whenever a question came up about a detail in my custom order, someone would email me seeking clarification, and possible options.

this happened twice and it put me at ease knowing they actually cared about how i wanted things done instead of just going by some internal decision matrix.

  5. 20 days not including shipping is accurate, over the years I have sent a number of putters to the Cameron "Spa" (a.k.a. Scotty Cameron's Custom Shop), also...if they have any questions about your putter they will email you...that time "off" the production floor with your putter is not included in the 20 days so be detailed in the comments section if you are doing anything unique.

    Hope that helps!

I considered doing this once I purchase my putter; however, I hesitate a bit.  Once any change is made, excluding stamping, does it negatively impact sell value?
