Hey I am putting the new Project X Black 58g 6.0 Shaft in my 910 D3. I currently have the Project X Tour C73 73g 6.0 Blue Shaft in my driver now. I know that to trim these shafts that you do it from the butt end and I am having a professional club builder pull an adapter from another shaft I have and install it on my new shaft so that I will have an OEM adapter. My questions are will my shaft flex be about the same and I know that the club will lighter now but will I have to switch out the weights in my driver head at all for swing weight issues? My driver head right now has a weight in it that has a red dot on it and I have no idea what the weight of this is? Also another question I thought of is are you guys offering these shafts as an option now and if I wanted to order one or more for my 910Fd or 910H through my country club pro shop would I have to send in my whole club or would you guys just send a new shaft with an adapter and grip on it?

    Thanks

I was told this by Titleist: The only PX Black shaft that has completed our shaft testing protocol is the PX Black 7.0 flex. It can be ordered as an "off menu" item I have the same Proj X shaft in my D2 and had considered the "black" for the weight difference. I was also told that if any work was done on the shafts outside of Titleist that they would not cover it under warranty. They also recommended that the OEM adapter not be put on other shafts that were not "authorized" by Titleist. FYI Chris

Ya I'd rather hear from a Titleist Rep Thanks. Plus if people on tour and other brands are playing it I'm sure it's fine as far as the adapter and shaft.

thats what I'm telling you .... this is what the Titleist rep told me: The only PX Black shaft that has completed our shaft testing protocol is the PX Black 7.0 flex. It can be ordered as an "off menu" item but ok ... you get whatever response you need to hear

Chris is right - the only PX Black that has currently passed our shaft testing protocols is the 7.0 flex and any work done outside of Titleist will void the warranty as we cannot warranty someone else's work.

    Hi Cathi,

I never got news from Team Titleist Canada about ordering off menu shafts... I'm actually really happy to know that the 7.0 Black can now be ordered directly from you as it would save me quite a bit of trouble!

Can you confirm that we also have access to these north of the border?

    Many thanks

    Math

Hi Math,  I spoke to Canada and they will not be able to order "off menu" shafts.  You will have to order from a US golf shop that can ship to Canada.

Hi Math,  UPDATE - GOOD NEWS - Canada is going to order the "off menu" shafts.  The same procedure will be in place.  You can order an "off menu" shaft and we will ask that you don't cancel or change any order once it has been placed.

    This is great!!! Thanks Cathi

Do I need to contact my local REP or Tech Rep in order to get access to the list of "off menu" shafts?

Sorry for bringing and old topic like this but I would appreciate it if you could send me an email so that we can discuss about a few things about off menu shafts... I want to put a 7.0 Black on order but I have some questions regarding the procedure and pricing. I prefer by email because otherwise, it's an international call! ;)

    Thanks
