Shafts for 712MB

    I am buying the 712MB set, but am torn between shafts....Project X or Dynamic Gold Tour Issue.....thoughts?

    It's all about personal preference. I've been playing DG for years and I like the feel of the shafts. Project X always flew too high for me and DG helps me keep the ball down lower. You can always get the flighted PX but it comes down to personal feel. Both are great shafts.

    You will get a lower launch and lower spin with the DG TI.  If that is what you need to get your optimal ball flight, then I would go with that.  Also the Project X will be, give or take depending on flex, 10 grams lighter.

    will i see any distance loss/gain more with one of the shafts, i'm looking at Project X 6.0 or the DG TI s400

    Bryan, Have you considered the KBS C-Taper shafts? I received new MB's (5-9) last friday with the KBS shafts. Its a different look to what you would normally see, no tapers and a satin finish, however the feel is awesome. They test and claim to be 5% longer, 5% lower and 5% less spin. Going from AP2 (S300 DG shafts) to MB with the KBS I definately see the lower flight and longer distance (loft is down slightly on MB's also). Worth having a look as they have expectional feel, look great and get the job done. I can see why they are appearing quickly on tour...
