I used the 690 mb's for 7 years.Had DG 300's in them.  They were custom fit and the best irons I have ever had. Really workable.

I currently game 710 AP2's with KBS Tour shafts. 

Pros: I like how they setup personally, overall weight and feel

Cons: none

I ordered a set of the CB/MB 712 set and went back to my 690.MB irons. The 712 looks great with the satin finish but the overall weight of the club feels too light for my preference. The only options I have to make the 712s heavier is lead tape or small weights dropped into the shaft. Which I don't like either option. 

I'm the type of person that wants the newest and latest equipment but you cannot beat the feel of the 690s. 

If you really like the 690 blades over the current models, I'd strongly consider the 690.mb as they have a more modern sole grind for better turf interaction.  These really are great blades, but the 710mb's are every bit as good.  If you like brushed irons, the 712mb's are nice as well.
