I purchased two new shafts for my D3 and 910f. I need to know what lengths they needs to be cut to prior to putting into the surefit sleeve. I want them to play at the standard 45" and 43" respectively. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Andrew,

For our drivers we don't do any tipping on our stock shafts (that say "Titleist" on them) and butt cut to length.  For after market shafts, we tip 1/2" and butt cut to length.  For 910F stock shafts (that say "Titleist" on them), we will tip 1/2" for the 13.5*/15*, 1" for the 17*, and 1.5" on the 19*.  For 910F after market shafts, we will tip 1" for the 13.5*/15* and 1.5" for the 17* and up.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Cameron, I've heard that all shafts get tipped 0.5" before the sleeve is put on the shaft. Is this true? If it is, are the numbers you've provided above and in addition to this 0.5"?

    Matthew,

All stock driver shafts (that say "Titleist" on the shaft) are not tipped before the sleeve is put on the shaft.  All after market drover shafts are tipped .5" before the sleeve is put on.

Hi Cameron, So the Project X 7C3 is tipped 0.5", then installed into the adaptor, along will all other custom option shafts...you able to tell me why this is?

    Matthew,

Yes.  This is due to the combination of what our R&D Team decides along with recommended tipping from the vendor.

How much do you tip before putting into a 910 sleeve for aftermarket ,non titleist, shafts being put into fairway woods?
