I just got back from the golf shop and I was taking the D3 to 119-121 mph clubhead and 178 ballspeed! I have done this a few times to see what the deal is (mistake or not) and it keeps coming back the same. I play the R11 driver right now and am about 115-117 clubhead. My shaft is heavier 80g vs. the D3's 65? - maybe it was 70? I know it was lighter... Does an X-flex come in this light weight? I love my R11 because I hit most of my fairways (~75%) - or, at worst, I am in the rough with a very occasional stray here or there. My priority is being accurate! The Titleist drivers have been the only other woods that make me consider trading in. I hit a Titleist 3-wood today and loved it - this coming from someone who hates 3-woods!! It was a 910F? The guy said it was a few years old so... Anyway, I hit this thing solid and straight!! A miracle for me and a 3-wood. I know you support a lot of players, but do not see you guys jumping on the "bandwagon" of the RBZ, Adams, swoosh, etc. I must say, I commend that! To me, if you do not feel the need to brag, you show confidence in what you do. So, what is it that Titleist does? I play the Pro-V1 and I have a Scotty putter (C-T Del Mar) but never have hit any of your other stuff until recently - I am still kind of new at this (first round of golf in 1/2006). Is there a place you guys recommend in Nothern Ca. for testing more stuff out? I am really intrigued if you can beat the numbers with the accuracy of my R11 and 3-wwod! What about irons? I use old miz Mp32's and love the feel, how do your irons compare? After hitting your 3-wood today, I felt like swapping my entire bag!! I have about seven 3-woods and have zero confidence in all of them. Basically, in my round-about usual yapping, do you ever do Titleist events/testing here in NorCal? I hate "demo-days" and swing monitors, etc. but would risk it if things look this good!
