This is the new grip for Scotty Cameron putters. Apparently they are so hot right now that my pro is telling me that he is being limited to ordering only one grip and it won't arrive until early March. What gives? Are they that good? Did the company underestimate their popularity?

This is common with a current production putter. Titleist and SC needs the grips for putter assembly and selling them separately is a secondary, limited priority. This is also a policy that has evolved out of necessity because of certain people profiteering with Scotty Cameron products. The first headcovers and grips could be bought at wholesale prices by authorized Titleist dealers. However, as collectors and others began buying the items just for resale or hoarding them, that shut the door on availibility. Now everyone pays the same price for refinishing, headcovers, etc. It's not only a case of abuse, but of monster demand for everything Cameron. It can sometimes be frustrating, but success for SC allows him to continue to produce all the high quality items that make golfers happy. I applaud him for having all his stuff made in the USA! I wish Mr. Vokey would insist on the same with his wedge heads.
