Kombi-S vs Kombi & 2012 Availability

    When will the 2012 Studio Select Kombi-S be available? Also, will it be available in the tour black mist? I have a 2009 Kombi with an aluminum body. Can anyone compare this to the Kombi-S with the mill stainless steel body? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

    Tom,

    There won't be a Kombi line in the 2012 Select putters.  There will be a similar head style to the Kombi in a Long and a Long straight in shaft (Big Sur Long and Big Sur S Long).  All of the new 2012 Select line putters will come in the Black Mist finish.  Both putter heads will be the aluminum and not the stainless steel body.

    So, if I understand correctly, the Big Sur will only be available as a belly putter? Is the Golo similar to the Kombi-S or Kombi? When will they be available to the public? Thanks again for your assistance.

    That's correct.  The Big Sur (similar head style to the Kombi) will only be offered in Mid or Long lengths.  The Golo is more of a traditional mallet, slighly bigger than the fastback.

    The 2012 Select models will be available April 1.  The Mid and Longs will be available May 1.

    Totally confused. One post says the Big Sur will be available in long and mid, and another post says it is avaliable on in long? Does anyone know for sure??

    The Big Sur (old Kombi head) will only be available in a long.  In mid, your choices are a Newport 2 style head, or the new GoLo in a single bend shaft or straight shaft version.
