    I wanted to find out the difference between the 2012 california and 2012 studio select lines. How does scotty position the two lines and how are they targeted differently.

    What is the difference between the 2012 California monterey and 2012 studio select newport 2. I wanted to buy one of them and am confused as to which line to go for.

    One main difference between the two lines is that the 2012 California line will all have a "Sea Mist" finish and the 2012 Select line will have a "Black Mist" finish.  Both will offer a few different head models that appeal to wide variety of players, depending upon what you are looking for.  One difference in the Monterey over the Newport 2 is the design of the toe.  The Monterey will have a raised toe top-line (not raised off the ground), so that at a standard lie or even a flat lie, it will look more appealing to the players eye.  The neck and toe flow between both putters are designed the same, so appearance (toe design and finish) will be big factors in deciding which putter to play.

    Do you know when the 2012 Select Line with the Black Mist will be available?

    All standard length Selects will be available in April and the Mid and Long putters will be available in May.
