  1. Scratch Golfer. Like my driver 44.25 Inches. Swing Speed for driver is 110 in control.  Can push it to 113 but loose some accuracy.  Hate stiff feeling clubs, needs to have feel and not make me feel like i have to work at it.  I use kbs tour stiff in irons and wedges.

Want forgiveness more than workability - cant be making mistakes off tee due to over cutting or hooking ball.

so heres what i am debating: D2 v D3 - no idea on shafts.  Like a higher launch i suppose.

Well I think getting fit would answer the question however failing that here is my 2 cents. The D3 is more workable than the D2. It you are wanting a driver the is pretty much a "dead down the middle" then the D2 is the right choice. Try it with the Ahina shaft. The RIP is in my opinion pretty boardy feeling. Project X might be another possibility for you. My ss is a bit lower than yours and while I am playing a D3, I like the Ahina shaft. Really the only way to know is find a dealer or fitting center and give them a go. Should be looking at spin rate and launch angle as factors. Good luck.
  3. My SS is similar to yours and I have had success with Fubuki Tour 73....I think the key is to consider a slightly heavier shaft since your swingspeed is so high and you need to control the ball...also I would consider the Loomis Collegiate Shaft (its about 69-73 grams in weight)...ignore the graphics this is a really high performance shaft for those that need feel and a mid launch angle.  I would have you consider the X stiffness but do tip trim the shaft much at all since that will give you extra feel.

    IMHO, Chris

I didn't mention shafts beyond what comes standard in the drivers. If you start looking at those...there are LOTS of choices. There are two ways to go about this...trial and error..which could get expensive, or getting to a retailer that has the fitting gear or to a fitting session, where they are going to have lots of different shaft brands and you can zero in on the results you want. This (driver/iron shaft fitting) has turned into such a detailed science. 20 years ago I bought driver/shaft combinations based on recommendations...today it is less frustrating...and a lot less expensive...to get to a fitter that knows their stuff and work through combinations till you find what you really want.

Here is a great link to view the stock and custom shafts available for the drivers, fairway woods, etc...  I would study it and see which options might fit your game best.

    Good luck!

Like everyone's said, it's always better to get fitted for your clubs. Especially the driver. Being that the D2 is 460 CC's and the D3 is 445 CC's, with different "profiles"; the same shaft(s) will act a little differently with each one. That's why it's important to get the right driver/shaft fit to your swing/game. If you check out the Custom Club Options, there will be charts showing/comparing, various shafts based on their launch/spin characteristics. That may help give you an idea on what you're looking for.

Is titleist coming out with a new driver soon? I currently in the market for one and I hit the 910 really solid but I don't want it to be old after 6 or 7 months
